User authentication fails when trying to use MS VPN client to connect to ASA using L2TP.

I have everything setup on my ASA as it should be based upon the Cisco provided documentation for L2TP VPN.  I have questions as to the configuration of the MS VPN client on a Windows 7 host.  What should the username be?  Should it be username@groupname or just the group name?  This seems to be the final hurdle in getting this to work, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It should just be the username. What authentication server are you using to authenticate the L2TP VPN user? If you are using ASA local database, then the username that you configure in the ASA should be the username on the MS VPN client, and the respective password of that user.

Hope that answers your question.
