VPN Client - version upgrades available without current support ?

Hi

I've inherited three sites with VPN Concentrator 3000 units as the VPN gateways but with no current support contracts (probably because they are old now and will probably be replaced). We use the Cisco VPN client (5.0.04.0300) which works absolutely fine on all our client OSes except 64bit (Windows 7 in our case) - are we able to get an upgrade to 5.0.07.0290 without a support contract or should I just stick to Windows 7 32bit for clients that need VPN access ?

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

You are correct the VPN3k's are EOL,  they seem to be still supported by Smartnet  last day of 11/3/2011 and last date of support 8/31/2012

If you have smartnet for any other Cisco  devices  you  should be able to have access to regular file downloads to get the  Cisco VPN client  64 bit version for your 64 Bit windows OS, file name   vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0290-k9.exe   should be under VPN Cisco VPN clients http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/Redirect.x?mdfid=268438162

If you do not have any smartnet you may be able to  by special request  get the clients by contacting  Cisco  TAC
