I recently upgraded my PC from Vista to windows 7 and launched my client (5.0.00.0340) and received Driver error reason 440. I was reading posts online to remove it then reinstall, when I go to add and remove programs and try to remove it seems to start uninstalling but the comes back with an error of you must remove the old client before trying to install the new client. ANy ideas?

Upgraded OS is not supported with any version of VPN client.

Clean install is necessary.

In Windows Vista and Windows 7 the newer client can not uninstall the older clients.

The same is true for any version of client.

I know the above post is of no use in your situation.

Although the manual uninstall directions (link below) doesn't specifically address Windows 7 - it may help get you closer.
