VPN Network Folder Issue

Hey All,

I've searched and searched but have not been able to find the answer to this question.

Our issue is when connected to the VPN certain users are not able to access their shared drives because they're on the same IP Map at their home office.

Pretty much, we have multiple shared drives with the 10.0.0.* ip map. Comcast uses the same Local network IP map for their users. When a user connects to the VPN it stays on their local IP Map. Which means, when they try to go to 10.0.0.7 it says can't find because they're still on their local network even though they're connected to the VPN. The only fix I know is to log into the Comcast router and change the local network ip address to be like 10.0.3.1.

Does anyone know of a fix for this? I've tried going into adapter settings and putting the VPN connection as the top priority.

I would renumber your local LAN.

I make a point of never using 192.168.0.0/24, 192.168.1.0/24 and 10.0.0.0/24 because of this exact issue.
