I've got a functionality question on a 871W router (12.4(22)T).. The router has a point 2 point VPN presently setup to link two offices. I want to add the ability to connect some Avaya phones (yes i know, i would much rather have cisco phones too) from remote locations into one of the offices. The point-2-point connection is using a privately signed cert (signed by the router), which I am told by the Avaya guy that they don’t support…The Avaya phones support a PSK or Cert for authentication, so I’d like to just simply use a PSK since its only 3 phones it should be easy.
My functional question is, is this even possible using this model router? Can I do a PSK without a static IP address (never tried before)?

How do the Avaya phones at the remote locations connect to the 870?

Here is an example configuration option:

i was able to get it to work with an old Pix 501, but i dont know the 871's abilities with relation to being a VPN termination point.
