Didier1966

Level 1

Hello,

For some test in my lab , I ordered on e-bay a AIM-VPN board , they guy told me that it work in a C1841.

When I compare to the one I have in my C2621 , they look equal.

On both pcb I can read : CN6I280AAA

When I put it in I get this :

Smart Init is enabled

smart init is sizing iomem

  ID            MEMORY_REQ         TYPE

                0X003AA110 public buffer pools

                0X00211000 public particle pools

0002A0            UNKNOWN                  AIM

                0X00020000 Crypto module pools

                0X000021B8 Onboard USB

Do you thing the card is working ?

Thank you for your help.

Best Regards,

Didier

Didier,

Can you please attach output of:

- show ver

- show diag

- show inv

- show logg (if taken after bootup)

- show crypto eli

- show crypto engine config

Let's see what's the name of the beast ;-)

Didier,

JAB060509NG serial number belongs to a device which is AIM-VPN/EP= (surprise, surprise ;-])

By checking here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/12_2z/12_2zj/feature/guide/gtaimvpn.html

and

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/prod_eol_notice09186a008032d48c.html

It looks to me like that AIM module is not going to work with 1841.

Here are the modules compatible with 1841:

Didier,

JAB060509NG serial number belongs to a device which is AIM-VPN/EP= (surprise, surprise ;-])

By checking here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/12_2z/12_2zj/feature/guide/gtaimvpn.html

and

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/prod_eol_notice09186a008032d48c.html

It looks to me like that AIM module is not going to work with 1841.

Here are the modules compatible with 1841:
