trying to connect to our vpn using anyconnect on vista, client 3.1.05152 and it says "please enter your username and password" but the dialog box does not show. it's very strange but when i connect an external monitor (it's a laptop by the way), the login box does show for a brief second and then disappears again. ive tried uninstalling the client and re-installing, but no difference.

We have several users, who complain about the missing login window. There ist some evidence that the window 'only' invisible, so a blind login may work, but that does not really solve the problem.
OS: Windows Vista
AnyConnect: 3.1.07021 and 3.1.08009

Will pass this hint on to our users.
What worked out as a workaround, was connecting via cli with
vpncli.exe connect SERVER
The bug with the missing login window seems to live in vpngui.exe. We had only incidents with Windows Vista.

i will report that we restored this particular laptop back 1 week (restore point), and it broke anyconnect so we re-installed it and now it's actually showing the login box again. it was really odd, no idea what was actually causing it.
