Hello, we are using the ASA 5500 to provide remote access to a website on our internal site with WebVPN. When remote end-users login, the appliance attempts to load up Java in their browsers to complete the request and let them proceed to our internal site.
We would like to not have this reliance on Java in end-users browsers. Is there a way to configure the appliance for this? Google Chrome is soon dropping complete support for Java, and Project Spartan in Windows 10 does not support Java at this point in time either. When they try logging in, they just get to a complete white page.
I know that Java is not actually required to login and proceed as mobile devices like iPhones, Androids, tablets load successfully, even though they do not have Java in their browsers. Also, if I change the user-agent string in my browser to that of a mobile device, it proceeds successfully without even checking for Java.
Any input is appreciated. Thank you,

Are you doing clientless or client-based remote access VPN?
Either way, you should be able to use your browser without Java (clientless) or the AnyConnect client directly (client-based).

This is a clientless implementation. Do you know how to configure the appliance/settings to not require that users need Java in their desktop browsers?
