I have an ASA 5510 and CLI access.
I am trying to connect using ASDM Launcher or Java Applet.
I am able to connect to https://IP_Adress/admin and download launcher, it asks for IP/user/pass and then disappears and doesn't open anything.
With Java Applet it asks some questions user/pass/trust... then says please wait application will open in other window, but nothing opens, it just stays without doing anything.
I tried this on Mac and Win8 using different browsers and different JRE versions, result is the same.
ASA - asa708-k8.bin
ASDM - asdm-508.bin
Could you please help?
Thanks!

Can you share the java version in your PC's ?
If Java Version 7 Update 45 installed there was some problem in that . So kindly re-install with
version 7.1(5.100) or later
and same time check ASA Config
http server enable
http server idle-timeout 10
http server session-timeout 15
http 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 inside
http 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 outside.
. Please check & let me know the result .

To help rule out simple issues in configuration would you post the output of these commands from your ASA
show run | include asdm
show flash | include asd*
show run | inc http

This is a known issue.
Latest version of Java requires that you use the latest version of ASDM. Either upgrade ASDM or Downgrade Java.

Could you please provide more details on versions, are there versions that will 100% work together under Mac or Win8?

It's just a Java 7 issue. Bug below:
https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCts17526
asdm-7.21 will work without any issue. Otherwise, you will get hit by the bug mentioned above.
