Can't ping an ip address on a different subnet

Hi All,

I've been having a problem accessing one particular ip address from different subnets through two separate VPNs through two separate routers and firewalls. I can access everything else on the network over the VPNs except this one ip address (which belongs to a machine running unix). I can ping it from the local network without exception, just not from a different subnet. There's nothing stopping it on the firewalls, it just won't respond. Any ideas?

Or failing that, is there a way I could fool it into thinking I was on the same subnet?

Regards

Egg

Hi,

Sounds like the default gateway on that machine is incorrect.

Is that the case?
