Hello. I have a problem installing the program. During the instalattion process at some point the progress bar rolls back and error appears """ Warning 1946. Property "System.AppUserModel.ID" for shortcut "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.Ink "could not be set ""

I am running Windows 7. Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Hi

According to this site: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows/win32/warning-1946-when-you-install-installer-package
Its a windows error. And you should be able to ignore it and anyconnect should be installed.

Can you confirm that anyconnect is installed and working ?

Otherwise what version of anyconnect are you trying to install, if its not 4.10, then maybe try with that ?

No, it is not installed. Sometimes, when I try to install it, the error doesnt show up, but the instalation progress bar rolls back and it says this:

Found this in here from earlier:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/vpn/cisco-anyconnect-rolls-back-during-install-says-installation/td-p/3379717

Someone mentions that antivirus might block for it. If you cant uninstall it, then try and disable it while installing.

Another sends this link to a guide. I havent seen it, so dont know if it gives anything, but its the final post in more posts about this problem. http://www.microsolutions.com.lk/cisco-anyconnect-installation-failed-with-prematurely-error/

Agreeing with @carstenlymann1 comment 'Someone mentions that antivirus might block for it.' I would say this is usually a culprit (third party security sw) with AC installations.  Definitely start there and check that box.

Did you find a solution ?  Are you certain no AV or other security programs is running? Or a group policy running that not allowing you to install.. Maybe if the program is runned as admin .
