Hey Guys;

I'm using a asa5510 series fw and i want to use the ADSM gui to configure a few commands; but the problem that i am facing is that when java  tries to connect to adsm gui; its not prompting me to connect and/or enter my credentials. I've check my java security properties and it has the ip address that im using for management  in the exception list.

Any idea on when i click on run ADSM from the web gui I can't connect to the FW gui !!!!

Can someone take a look at my config and see if I'm missing a feature or command

Thanks

The issue is likely related to Java rather than your ASA configuration.

If you are using the latest release, Release 7.6.2.150, check the release notes for Java requirements:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asdm/7_6/release/notes/rn76.html

what would the correct version of java to use on asdm 6.3.4 this is what im running on my fW now that came with the system asdm-634.bin...

FW# show version

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.2(3)
Device Manager Version 6.3(4)

If i can find the correct java version that will support 6.3.4 i should be ok....

Thanks

Hello,

6.3.4 sounds outdated. Check the link below to download the latest release, 7.6.2.150:
