Here's the error message I'm receiving:
The installer was not able to start the Cisco SSL VPN Client.
Please contact your IT administrator for more information.
Is there a work around? It works fine on my laptop with xp.

You have not given much detail for us to work with. To start which VPN client is this? And which version of the client is it?
Your comment that it works on an XP PC suggests that perhaps the PC is running something other than XP. So what OS is the PC running?

After posting a response I re-read the original post and see that the title indicates Win 7. So the question now is which client and what version?
The obvious guess is that the version of the client does not support Win 7.
