Cisco VPN Client 3.5 on firewall-enabled Windows XP

IPSec VPN (through dial-up modem) to Cisco Concentrator 3015 would fail when using VPN client v3.5 on a firewall-enabled Windows XP station. Everything works fine when the XP firewall is disabled. Does anyone know how i could get the VPN up with the XP firewall enabled?

Hi,

This incompatibility was fixed in the newer versions of the client software. Kindly try using any v3.5.2 or higher to get this fixed for you.

Hope this helps,

Aamir,

What about a similar situation, where I have to connect stations behind a proxy/firewall (ISA server), and cannot make the connection to a remote VPN Concentrator 3005 through the proxy?

The proxy is providing Internet access to internal clients of a LAN, and it is connected to the Internet through ADSL.

Is there a solution/configuration to get that?

Thank you.
