Client to LAN remote access from China to outside of China

Hi all,

Does anyone know or have experience with having users travelling in China that would connect back to a VPN concentrator outside of China so that they can reach corporate Internet services blocked in China (e.g. GMail)? Will that work or would client to LAN VPN most likely be filtered be the Great Firewall? Would SSL or IPsec VPN be the better option?

VPN will work. I personally like IPsec more that SSL, but the first is not supported anymore under Win 8.
