I have a cisco 501 pix IOS version 6.3.5 and have a IPSEC client VPN tunnel setup and I have no problems connecting to the network. But I would like to to use Cisco IP Communicator so that I can receive and make calls like I was in the office. Is it possible for this to work over the tunnel?
My tunnel inside IP is 172.29.1.0 /24 and the phone system is on a 172.16.1.0 /24. TFTP server 172.16.1.1.
I tried to connect but it didnt work and someone told me that it would not work with the PIX 501. I just wanted to double check before working on it further.
