Clientless SSL VPN

Hi,

I do not have yet a CISCO Router but I need one in order to give my users access to access LAN resources (web pages, remote deskopt, remote applications, FTP sites). What can you reccomend to me?

Traffic is about 40 Mbps and we have around 20 concurrent users.

Kind regards,

Sorin

Hi,

A Cisco ASA might be better/easier to configure a Clientless SSL-VPN than a Cisco Router. For the number of users you require you could probably get away with a ASA 5506-x, datasheet comparison of all ASA's here.

Thank you,

Cisco ASA will allow me to create a portal page like the one in the attached picture?

Hi,

Yes you can have a portal page like that. You also get more functionality as well on the ASA (though some of it you may not require).

Do I have to buy any speciffic licenses together with Cisco ASA 5506-X in order to use it for SSL VPN?

Can you indicate me some literature regarding on Cisco ASA configuration as SSL VPN?

Kind regards,

Sorin

I think you will need the AnyConnect Apex license which includes a license for Clientless VPN (browser based). Link here should help
