Connecting to VPN Client 5.0.07 returns Error 443 (logs included)

I've gotten Cisco VPN Client to work on my windows 8.1 box, but my windows 10 box is giving me some ssues.

I'm trying to connect to a Cisco VPN using Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0290. on Windows 10.  At first Cisco VPN wouldn't install, and I found out I needed to install Citrix DNE prior to the Cisco VPN Installation. I did that and the Cisco VPN client now installs fine.

Now I'm getting an error 443 with the following log information when I try to Connect:

---

Config file directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\

---

in the Event Logs I see the following error:

The Cisco Systems, Inc. VPN Service service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly.

----
Things I've Tried:

I took the SSL cert from my one computer that works (windows 8.1) and installed that on my Windows 10 box, and ensured it was valid. I then imported it into the Cisco client. This didn't work.

I checked the registry to ensure there was not bad data in the DisplayName Value, and that is working.

Any thoughts on what I could try next?

Thank you so much for this. This works great.

Good day to hack! This works for Error 412 : Reason 412 - The remote peer is no longer responding"

The VPN client goes thru phase1 and phase2 and disconnects in the Securing Communication Channel stage.

My company uses a EasyVPN Server running on C887 router.

The above solution works great!

Worked great for me.

Just to Add, I have windows 8 64bit. Cisco VPN client was working fine on both desktops in question but then installing Citrix AGEE (citrix ssl vpn client) broke it.

I installed sonicWall VPN 64-bit client which did the trick.

Thanks for the fix.  I got the following error message when I tried to install SonicWall VPN client 64-bit on Windows 10 "Unable to manage networking component.  Operating system corruption may be preventing installation".   I also have Cisco Anyconnect client installed on the same computer.  Can you have Cisco VPN client and Cisco AnyConnect client on the same computer?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Diane

Uninstall all Cisco VPN and Anyccnnect client. Uninstall Citrix DNE (Deterministic Network ...) as well (if you have).
Download and install SonicWall VPN 64-bit Client (if you are running 64-bit Windows, download 32-bit version of vpn client if your are running 32-bit Windows) from:

http://help.mysonicwall.com/Applications/vpnclient/

Install Cisco VPN Client. I am using 5.0.07.0440.

Try connecting to your VPN server.

I tried installing AnyConnect. It installs just fine. But i haven't tried connecting using it.

Hope it helps.

Have a good day.
