Converting ASA 5505 from a EZ VPN to a Site to Site configuration without losing the dhcpd configs.
I have been tasked with converting hundreds of remote sites using ezvpns on cisco 5505's to Site to Site configurations.
I want to get rid of every section that now says vpnclient ........ (basically getting rid of the ezvpn) while at the same time maintaining every dhcpd section, so that the hosts behind the ASA 5505, can still maintain the same ip range, get their dns and wins settings.
Now the challenge includes the following.
Previously the outside interface was setup with dhcpd auto_config which means that whatever dhcp settings learnt would then be passed on interface inside. The challenge also is that the outside interface of the 5505 now needs to be a public ip address, in order to act as peer while before it was an rfc1918 address.
Any suggestions on moving an ASA from ezvpn to Site to Site ?
