Hi,
We seem to have an intermittant problem with the DHCP server on VPN 3002 clients. We have quite a number of the clients at remote sites, but now and again PC's at the sites seem unable to get an IP address from the client. The only way we can resolve this is to reboot the client.
Once this is done, all the PC's can then get an IP address OK. All the clients are running 4.1.2 software at the minute.
Has anyone else come across this problem ? I am considering upgrading the remote client to the latest software version, but am wary to do this to a site over 200 miles away in case it goes wrong.
Anyone else come across this ?
Thanks

There are two things that you could look into. One, is the number of client large enough to exceed the addresses availablle in the address pool and second, have you carefully excluded all the statically assigned addresses such as that of the gateway.

Thanks for the reply.
We have put the number of DHCP addresses at 128, the sites at most have 50-60 users on so they never get near the mx number of leases.
The DHCP clients also have there own subnet allocated so there is no clashing with statics on the sites.
Going to try upgrading the software on the clients to 4.0.5a ( latest version ), to see if this helps with the problem.
Thanks
Paul
