Disaster recovery for VPN 3005 concentrator

According to the document, if u upgrade twice for the software then the concentrator will have 2 copied of the image on 2 different flash.

If I upgrade the image and haft way through the concentrator hang up, how do I recovery back the previous image? Is it automatic?

Hi,

you should be able to revert back to the last image w/o any problem, by following this procedure:

Correct affected VPN3000 concentrators by rebooting the concentrator, pressing Control G on the console, and toggling the software image back to the 2.5 or higher version of software.

To toggle the software image:

1. Attach a console to the concentrator.

2. Power cycle the concentrator.

3. After the message "Boot configured XXXMb of RAM.", look for three dots and then hit Ctrl-G (^G).

4. When Boot Menu Options appear, hit "5" to "Toggle active image."

5. Hit "1" to "Continue to load main code."
