DMVPN - NHRP Registration, IPsec

Hi All,

I was wondering whether or not NHRP registrations from spokes need to be processed by the hub before IPsec tunnel can form between hub and spokes.

Any insight will be appreciated.

NHRP and IPSec go hand in hand.

Infact the first IPSec packets to be exchanged between the Spoke and the Hubs are NHRP registrations and registration replies.

Once NHRP registration is successful, routing neighborships come up and you will have total connectivity between Hub and Spoke.
