Doc ID 14131 PSK dynamic IP to static IPSec tunnel

Hello All:

This example is very clear and easy to understand, however; I'd like to know if its possible to use preshared keys with a hub and spoke arrangement where the HUB is a stitic IP and the spokes are all routers with dynamic IPs? Lets say for the ease of explaination I have two dynamic IP routers that need to connect to a static IP router simultaneously. How can this be done? How does one associate the correct access list to the correct connection? How does one identify which IPsec tunnel belongs to which dynamic IP router?

Cheers,

John

Hello John,

Hub and spoke with dynamic IP. This is the USP of DMVPN (Dynamic Multipoint VPN) technology from Cisco.

It is actually a multipoint GRE/IPSEC tunnel.

It is a very complicated technology. Please go through the cisco website regarding this.
