Easy VPN and ip-phone-bypass

I'm trying to get ip-phone-bypass to work. I have an ASA-5510 server and the client is a 871W. The server is configured for NEM and the client is using http xauth and manual connect. I can authenticate and bring up the tunnel with the web intercept and only then will the phone register and operate. If the user disconnects the tunnel, the phone drops off. I'm having trouble finding anything about this feature and how to use it.

Any ideas?
