I have just setup a Cisco ASA 5505 with the webvpn feature. I have a bookmark that directly loads a citrix application. The problem I am having is closing the application once users are done with it. For example: If a user turns on the application and then clicks closes down the webvpn, the next time they log into the webvpn and launch the same application, they get only a grey screen.
I have found that logging into the Citrix server and ending the session manually, the user can then login and launch the application and it will do what it is supposed to do...
So, how do I get the users session to end correctly?
The WebVPN session for the ASA cannot close down any other applications being accessed through the portal. Any un-graceful shutdown of the ASA session is handled by Cookies Or Session Timeout as far as the ASA SSL is concerned.
My recommendation will be to look into the Citrix server and implement some sort of Session Timeout etc, where an inactive Citrix User session is cleared.
