Is there a way I can find from Anyconnect gateway or logs, about what is the client OS that is connected via Anyconnect?

on ASA you have vpn-sessiondb showing you what is the user agent, it can be deduced from there.

(on newer ASAs)

show vpn-sessiondb det anyconn

That helps to some extent. I can find out if it is windows/mac etc. Can I get more granular information, such as if it is winXP, vista as well?

To some extent yes, but if you want to have a CLEAR view, you need endpoint assessment.

That you should have in CSD/DAP.
