issue this command: show ver

and then look for Serial Number in the output:

that is your official part number.

WRONG!! According to Cisco the serial number found there is not a valid serial number. Sure makes sense the SN on the show ver should be the same as the sticker on the box... I have 2 ASAs that BOTH cisco is saying it is not a valid serial number.. WTF?
