I am trying to configure an ISR4331 appliance before deployment and having issues with L2TP VPN. I am trying to get a Windows client to connect, however I cannot get any form of communication. What I mean is that the VPN connects, however I cannot ping anything or access anything with/without ACL defining the client IP.
I have tried to follow these guides:

I prefer the first guide as that allows me to ping 1.1.1.11 from the router, whereas the latter I was unable to ping the VPN gateway.
Any help would be much appreciated.
