license question

Hi,

This might not be the right group for this question, but I need to ask.

So, being a newb to the world of the networking, i ran into a license question.

running sho version i get this:

Licensed features for this platform:
AnyConnect Premium Peers : 100 perpetual

Failover cluster licensed features for this platform:
AnyConnect Premium Peers : 100 1 days

if i understand this correct it means that:

1. The primary device is fully license for 100 VPN licenses.  

2. The failover system licenses will expire in 1 day.  So that unless I have to fail over to the second ASA I can maintain 100 vpn connections?

The AnyConnect 3.x Premium licenses are additive between members of an HA pair since ASA software version 8.3 (from about 5 years ago).

So as long as you are running that version or later, even a failover event will still result in the combined system having valid perpetual licenses.
