MacOS Catalina 10.15 Support

Cisco Any connect client fails with an error. Error details can find here. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436

In Summary,  it seems that 32bit software isn't supported in MacOS Catalina.

Is there a 64bit version for MacOS? or a version compatible with 10.15?

Hi,

What is the version of Any-Connect client you are using?

Spooster IT Services Team

Version is 4.5.04029

There is a bug CSCvh88156 in 4.5 version of Anyconnect Client.

Please use Anyconnect  4.6 since Anyconnect 4.6 support 64 bit OS

Spooster IT Services Team

Got it, Lemme try that version.

Are you sure it's supposed to work with 10.15?  We are seeing the same errors listed in the thread I pasted in below, using the latest release of AnyConnect (4.7.03052).

https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/117603

10.15 is not an officially supported MAC OS, even in AnyConnect 4.7 release:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect47/feature/guide/anyconnect47features.html#pgfId-63847

That being said, I would open up a TAC case to look into this issue. Since MAC OS 10.15 is a beta image, there is a good chance that there may be bugs on either side.

We faced same issue with version 4.5. Then we upgraded our anyconnect client to 4.7 thought that most recent version should have the fix. But the issue remain same in 4.7 as well

We had a case with Cisco Tac regarding this they suggested us to use 4.6 as It have support with latest MAC OS.

Also latest MAC OS version is in Beta so there is a lot that could improve at the moment it is officially released.

Additionally, for you to know Cisco is investigating internally so in the future there will be a version that is only for 64 bit.

Yah, Hope I will be able to see a solution sooner.

For anyone else stuck here,
I got unblocked by using a virtual-box with windows. Also got `git` access via sharing the source directories with guest windows os.

Hi,

As of now Apple doesn't support it officially, Cisco Officially don't support MacOS Catalina .

There is internal Enhancement CSCvq45636 which say's they modified KdfLoader class.

This will be fixed in 4.8 release which don't have any official ETA.

hi, I have another issue by using AnyConnect 4.8.00175.

Logs:

sudo /opt/cisco/anyconnect/bin/vpn connect xxx

Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (version 4.8.00175) .

Well, now that MacOS Catalina is officially released and the default operating system, Cisco AnyConnect is useless. I cannot update my computer because I rely on this app working. Apple announced their lack of support for 32bit almost 2 years ago. This is unacceptable.

Hi @DavidWisner03572 AnyConnect 4.8 is available to download and supports Mac 10.15, release notes here.

Good morning,

Anyconnect still does not work in Catalina today, even in version 4.8.175.

It still gives the failed CDS verification error.

Any solution?
