Hi,

I have task to replace cisco 2811 router to ASA 5510. We use this router solely for remote access to our production network.

Any suggestions:

OPS: I have created same thread in other security discussion as well. My appologies

Here is a sample configuration for easy vpn client on ASA firewall - NEM mode:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00808a61f4.shtml

What mode is the easy vpn on your current router? Client mode or NEM mode?

Thnx for quick response. but i meant i have to replace cisco router with asa.

I mean people who were logging into router for remote access will now be

logging into ASA.

I need to copy usernames and policies from router to ASA

preshare keys from router to ASA

Access lists will be changes for some reason so that is something i am not worried about.

Here is a configuration example for Remote Access IPSec VPN on an ASA:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/configuration/guide/vpnrmote.html#wp1042131

You will need to manually configure the passwords and pre-shared keys again. You will not be able to see them in the config.
