PIX & checkpoint vpn client ???? am not sure if this is going to work.. the vpn client is built for the specific vpn server. why doesnt he download a cisco vpn client and use that ? he can use cisco vpn client 4.0.5 .

Hello Raj,
In fact they want to use Chekpoint SecureClient because they have already this software by the corporate site. We are cisco resaler, and the customer doesn't want Cisco client for the moment.

Hi guy,
I think you cannot use this way then. The cucstomer has to connect to the existing checkpoint vpn server till the time they move to cisco clients. this does not seem possible, because each client is bound to the particular standards of the company. the technology might be same, but there can be some difference in standards. anyway, u can ask them to try and connect to the cisco pix firewall through VPN.
all the best..

Hi Raj,
I'm surprise, because i think that Cisco and Checkpoint was interoperable with the same standard in VPN !
These are big companies and Cisco Pix is interoperable with VPN Clients like Windows.
We need to make the test between Pix and Checkpoint Client to be sure that it works or not.
Thanks

Hi guy,
site to site tunnels between these two boxes work really well and there are no problems with interoperability. I have infact seen this live. But i havent heard of your scenario. Anyway, you can test this and let us know.. if it works, it will be a new learning for me !!
