PIX IPSEC VPN tunnel redundancy

Hi all,

I am looking at using an F5 BIG IP Link controller to provide ISP redundancy to one of our sites. We have two ISPs and the link controller will have a connection to both.

We have a number of Lan 2 Lan IPsec tunnels which terminate on our PIX firewall.

All these tunnels use one ISP link. If that link fails is it possible to configure the PIX to automatically use the alternate link for its VPN tunnels?

Thanks for your assistance

Re: PIX IPSEC VPN tunnel redundancy

Hi

Though i m not sure about the F5 box but if its capable of routing the traffic similar to a router towards the secondary isp link ,dont think you need to worry about VPN tunnels but if its just a non ip device and dont have any clue about the ip layer connectivity then i dont think reduandcy kinda setup is possible out here..
