PIX-PIX VPN (IPSec) drops

I'm having a lot of problems with our VPN's bouncing. This is a hub-spoke VPN topology. A VPN connection will drop and will not reinitiate until a "clear isa sa" or a "clear ipsec sa" is used. Many times I find that I must "clear int" and then bring the interfaces back up with "int etherx 100full". The PIX revision is 5.03. Any suggestions? BTW-we are planning an upgrade to 5.12, I know 5.03 has issues--not sure if this is one of them.

I suggest start by getting off 5.0(3). That may fix your problem. I had a lot of issues with it and as soon as I went to 5.1 everything became stable.

Hope ur problem is fixed

I am facing the same problem even after upgrading to Cisco PIX Version 5.3(1) .The problem is the VPN connection drops all of a sudden and the connection is restored only after rebooting the PIX Firewall.

Is it a bug or is there any configuration isssue with it?

Thanks
