Problem with Installation of AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v4.4

 Hello,

I have been trying for a couple of days now to install AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v4.4 but without success. I keep getting the following error at the end of the installation package. 

"There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected" . 

I cannot find a solution anywhere. I'm running Windows 8.1. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I think it might be a bit more complicated than the knowledge base discusses but I'll try their suggestions. Is there a way to get to the setup.exe file? I can't figure out how to decompress it.
