RDP freezes when connected to RA VPN

Hello, 

I have a pair of ASA 5525 v9.8(2)

I have an issue with RDP when connected in the VPN. Sometimes the RDP freezes and I have to disconnect and connect again. 

I tried to enable dtls compression, but it did not change and I disabled it. 

I changed the MTU to 1300, but the RDP still disconnects. 

Any ideas?

Hi,

This is not a RA VPN issue and i used to have same issue until i came across the below somewhere and worked for me and my team:

run cmd.exe as an admin and then run the below from cmd

reg add "HKLM\software\policies\microsoft\windows nt\Terminal Services\Client" /v fClientDisableUDP /d 1 /t REG_DWORD 

Drop the rdp session if connected and reconnect.

Hi,

Try the registry mentioned below. If you RDP uses UDP then it will help as
it will disable UDP/RDP and will use TCP/RDP.

If not working, disable DTLS compression and disable DTLS for your vpn
group-policy. This will make TCP/TLS only which might fix it.
