Re: New Installation of AS5350XM

Hi,

I am installing a new AS5350XM which I am replacing with an existing AS5350. I need some help in the following task :-

1) I want to configure the clock from my E1 feature card. The command from the doc says

conf t

dial-tdm-clock priority {slot/ds1 port}.

But I am unable to enter the 'dial-tdm-clock' command on the CLI. It seems that the command does not exist. I am using the IOS version c5350-is-mz.124-10c.bin.

2) Do I need to configure the SPE setting for users to dial in via the modem or can I just ignore this piece of configuration ?

1.To troubleshoot your E1 or T1 controllers, first check that the configuration is correct.

2.Another common reason for failure is the dial-tdm-clock priority setting. The default setting is a free-running clock that causes clock slip problems if not set properly

3. Make sure you are running minimum 11.3(2)AA .
