Real time viewer not showing same packets as packet capture

Tryingt to debug a problem with traffic coming over a vpn tunnel.  Packet capture wizard is showing the traffic but real time log isnt.  Shouldnt I be able to see the packets in real time ?  We are trying to see if trafic is getting denied on the tunnel at our tend.

Using 8.0.4.32 IOS on the ASA.

if so then it depends on the level you have set and what kind of messages you are to view
