Remote VPN connection slow

Hi,

I have created a Remote VPN connection on a Cisco ASA 5505.

When I'm connected remotely through the Cisco VPN Client my connection is very slow.

I have a response time of 220ms when I ping my server.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to improve the speed of the VPN connection?

Hey Leon,

I think that this is pretty good, i get 315MS when connected.

VPN client needs to encrypt and decrypt every single packet that's why speed will defenately be slower then normal connection .

Other point to be considered is compression, make sure head end is not configured for compression.
