Resolving conflicts with DSL "Speed stream 5100" modem and Cisco VPN Client

We have 2 sites, both PIX 501, VPN between them, and both allow inbound VPN from remote Cisco VPN client thru the Internet.

When connecting, the following all work GREAT with the VPN client: Modem dial in, Wireless Internet, Earthlink DSL.

However, we are having problems with SBC Dsl using the "Speed stream 5100" DSL modem. It will not allow both VPN client and DSL software on same machine.

Fix? Ideas? Clues?

Thanks a lot for any ideas!

Chris

Try using a cable/dsl router to replace the SBC DSL software. You will probably have to open some ports (i think 50, 500 and 550 tcp&udp for ipsec) to let the VPN traffic pass through the router, unless you use one with an integrated VPN client like the Linksys VPN routers. If you use a Linksys VPN, they will connect the site without using VPN client software on the pc's. I know they can be connected to a Cisco Router, but I don't know about the connection to a PIX.
