RV042 VPN firmware matching

Dear ALL,

my name is JUN, from HK,

I have a pair of RV042 router performing VPN from Hong Kong and Qingdao@China.

The performance is OK stable and very slow and not so functionality 100%.

After that i found out the firmware is still

1.3.12.19-tm (Feb 13 2009 )

So i decided to upgrade the firmware to around 2011 version.

What i have to do? I backed up my setting already, and i would downloaded the firmware from cisco.

my doubt is , would my Qingdao Side have to match the firmware version as me in Hong Kong?

If possible i would only upgrade HK side to see is it stable.
