Hi all, I'm very new at IPsec tunnel.

I have a Cisco 2921

I trying to setup an IPsec tunnel but I cannot find the isakmp command.

My license has been on this Cisco 2921 for a long time but never used.

show license

Index 2 Feature: securityk9
Period left: Life time
License Type: RightToUse
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA accepted
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: Low

Sh license feature

Feature name Enforcement Evaluation Subscription Enabled RightToUse
ipbasek9 no no no yes no
securityk9 yes yes no no yes

If i understand correctly my license is installed and active. Why can I not see my command isakmp?

Router1(config)#crypto ?
key Long term key operations
pki Public Key components
provisioning Secure Device Provisioning
wui Crypto HTTP configuration interfaces

sh version I get this:

Technology Package License Information for Module:'c2900'

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Technology Technology-package Technology-package
Current Type Next reboot
------------------------------------------------------------------------
ipbase ipbasek9 Permanent ipbasek9
security None None securityk9
uc uck9 Permanent uck9
data datak9 Permanent datak9
NtwkEss None None None
CollabPro None None None

Configuration register is 0x2102

What am I missing? I think the license in installed but does not show in the show version. What is causing this?

Joel

Thanks

Joel,

What type of VPN are you setting up?  IE flexvpn, dmvpn, remote access(Anyconnect), etc.  and between what type of devices?  As a FYI you do not use the isakmp command to set up the VPN in the CLI.  Lastly, your code should support most VPN technologies.
