We're looking at implementing a site-to-site VPN between our headquarters and some of our field offices via cable and DSL connections to the internet, I've got a couple of questions. First, are the any issues with setting it up between a PIX 525 and PIX 501? Second, has anyone seen any issues with setting this up with a DSL connection?

Ronald,
There shouldn't be any problems with setting them up especially if your using the VPN Wizard in the ASDM or PDM management software. You can set them up in a couple of different ways.
If the pix 501 is on the dsl and you don't have a static for it you can have it always initate the VPN.
If your in the process of trying to set them up let us know and we can help.
Here are the configuration guides for the PIX

Hi,
I already have VPn between this two firewalls, and not seenany issues with it.
VPN works over Internet with the help of Protocols.
With DSL Only problem youcanface is the Internet Speed,
make sure you have Appropriate speed with dsl connection.
Thanks,
Chetan
