Silent Uninstall of Cisco AnyConnect VPN 2.x Clients Is Incomplete

We are upgrading to Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility 3.0 client and I noticed the installer does not remove the other older client, so we need to do this manually.

I tried doing a silent uninstall of 2.2 and 2.4 clients via startup script and it does uninstall the software but it is not a complete uninstall.

The contents of C:\Program Files\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnecr VPN Client is empty, but the folder is left behind.

Broken links in the Start Menu and All Programs Menus are not deleted so this causes user confusion and is just messy.

Why is this and is there a fix?

Maybe additional commands to delete the leftover files, but why isn't the uninstall taking care of this automatically?

The uninstall script looks like this:

if exist C:\Program Files\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\

rem uninstall Cisco AnyConnect 2.4

msiexec /x {2A6355EB-273D-4368-9DB6-FB99EBA9FABD} /qn

rem uninstall Cisco AnyConnect 2.2

msiexec /x {D9F50DFC-5894-460A-9B14-44889BF42DFB} /qn
