Site to site VPN- Does IKEV1 support both preshared key and certificate

Dear all,

We have configured the ASA 5510 site to site VPN with digital certificate based authentication .

To add a second layer of security ,can i add preshared key for IKEV1, means is it possible to configure tunnel with preshared key and certificate authentication in ikev1.

An IPsec (IKEv1) site-site VPN can use one or the other but not both forms of authentication.

Hi Sreekumar,

You can use either of the authentication methods, but not both at the same time as far as i know.
