Our customer has a VPN tunnel that requires traffic on our side to be NATted to a different subnet to avoid a subnet conflict with a subnet on the other side of the tunnel. The tunnel is up and working for the most part. RDP and ping traffic works without issue. The issue is that trying to open up a directory path using UNC paths across the tunnel is not working. When a machine on the other side of the tunnel tries to go to //172.16.0.44/, the traffic goes acdross the tunnel and is translated to 192.168.0.44. I see these packets for ports 139 and 445 in a capture log on the ASA. I do not see any traffic coming back the other direction and the connection sits in a SYN_SENT state on the other side, never receiving a SYNACK back. Any ideas as to why this traffic would not be working are appreciated as the customer requires this functionality.
Thanks,
James
