Hi Experts

Here am using Cisco 5545-ASA with 9.1(2) IOS with ASDM 7.1(3).Am trying (win 7) to connect ASA through ASDM but no luck.

Has you suggested in Cisco forums i installed Java 6 update 7, Java 7 update 60, java 6 update 22 but evrytime am getting same error msg "unable to launch device manager/ login failed".

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11822626/use-java-version-6-update-7-and-asdm-713

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11637846/asdm-dont-load-after-upgrade-java-7

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11264856/unable-start-asdm-version-1550

Even i tried with "Run ASDM " also but got same error. if i get login promt after entering credentials am getting " login Failed".

1. There is no configuration issues because of one of my colleague running successfully with java 7 update 60.

2 i have SSH access to the device.

Here i dont have rights to install different ASDM versions on my ASA.if there is nay bug access this please let us know.

please suggest me how to launch ASDM on my windows 7 pc. its very urgent.

waiting for your immediate response. Thanks.

Are you getting an IP within the same subnet as you colleague?

Do you have locally defined users on the ASA or are you using RADIUS/TACACS+ for authentication?

If possible please post the full running configuration of your ASA (sanitised).

Since you have posted this in the VPN section of the forum, are you trying to connect use the ASDM over a VPN connection?

i tried with admin rights to run "dm-launcher" with java 7 update 45 finally i got access to ASA. for admin rights i raised a ticket to my ITG team.

once i will get the access to the device with my credentials will update you.

Thanks :)

Hi parasad,

As we discussed before this problem

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10478416/asdm-unable-launch-device-manager

its the java version problem, may be bug in ios either java

so java 7 45 on window 7 is working fine.
