Just as the tittle says, interesting issue I am having. I have a 2511RJ Router I use and an access server for my home lab. The issue I am having is Telneting from a WAN connection. I get no errors, just that its unable to connect. When I am within my LAN it works.
Now I know what your thinking, firewall right? I use Astaro as a firewall and have setup port forwarding for instance WANIP:23020 -> 192.168.28.20:23. Now I am able to telnet to a windows server from the WAN then hop over to the Access Server and have verified my Astaro Firewall/gateway is accepting the forward.
I have included my configs for this Access Server. I am just stumpt, this happened also when I wason a linksys wireless route from BestBuy, same symptoms.
Please let me know if theres something within the configs you see could be cuasing this. Mabye something I have not tried?
