VPN Client connection from 1801 router to ASA

Hi, Just wondering whether it's possible to create a VPN remote access session from a 1801 router [running 12.4(22)], to an ASA running 8.4(2)? I guess I'm basically asking whether it's possible to configure an 1801 router to behave like the old Cisco 3002 hardware clients. I know that I could just create a site to site connection beteween these two devices, but let's leave that option out for the moment :-)

It most certainly does help!!

Even better, there is a link off the second sample config link you gave, which is for an ASA5520 to 871.

You can also choose between Client mode or NEM mode (just like the 3002 hardware client).
