Hello,
I have configured a cisco 1710 with version 12.3(11)T. With a Windows 2000 client I can connect with IPSec to the router and work in the office. With Windows XP I can connect to the router but can not work in the office. I have tried several cisco vpn clients. The router shows me following message on the console if I ping from the client to the router:
%C1700_EM-1-ERROR: packet-rx error: ESP protocol absent, id 98, pool offset 0
It seems that the ESP protocol is not o.k. from the client !??
Has anybody an idea what the mistake is ??
Thanks for help

Be careful when going to 12.3(8)x and above......LOTS of bugs there.
